Our Adoption Program
Serenity Guinea Pig Rescue does a lot of due diligence when adopting animals out to new owners. We care about providing loving, forever homes to our animals, and we have to be absolutely sure that your home and situation will be the right fit for the animal you wish to adopt. Often the animals in our care come from bad situations and need extra love and care. If you are not 100% sure if you are committed, wait until you are.
What you need to know before adopting:
We only allow adoptions in pairs, unless you are looking for a friend for your current one. Some exceptions include bunnies, hamsters, aggressive males etc
Cage size must be at least 10 square feet for 2 guinea pigs. Hamsters require over a bin with over 450 sq inches, Bunnies require 12 sq feet.
Along with our application we require photos of your cage/supplies. Pet stores do not provide you with the proper items for most small animals.
You must be ready to love, care for, and cherish for their entire lives. If something happens and you can no longer keep them, they must be brought back to SPS.
You must be at least 18 years of age to submit an application. If you are under 18 please have your parent or guardian fill out the application.
All adoption fees are non-refundable.
