Our Foster Program

Here at Serenity Guinea Pig Rescue, Foster homes are essential. With the help of our foster families, we are able to provide a sanctuary for guinea pigs and animals of all kinds until a forever home comes along.

We try to make our foster agreements as simple as possible.  Our foster arrangements are open ended, meaning that you can return the animal to our rescue if for some reason the arrangement isn't a good fit.

Serenity Guinea Pig Rescue’s Obligations to Foster:

 

Provide Medical Care
Advertise the animal for adoption
Evaluate Adoption Applications
Perform Adoption Interviews
Set up Meet and Greets

Foster Home’s Obligations to Serenity Guinea Pig Rescue:

Provide for the Day to Day Needs of the Animal(s)
Housing
Hay
Pellets
Vegetables
Bedding
Nail Trimming and Grooming
Provide Transportation to/from SGPR for Meet and Greets & Vet Visits
Provide SGPR with Personality and Behavior Information
